Those are ginkgo leaves! I love when they turn golden yellow and fall like snow. We have a giant ginkgo in our front yard and it's one reason I fell in love with the house 40+ years ago.
Our subdivision was originally 400-acre farm, platted in 1929 (not the best timing) and when we moved in, an elderly neighbor pointed out trees that had been here well before that. People who move away from this neighborhood often move back because of the trees.

Yeah they are lovely aren't they? This street has about ten of them, and their leaves are all turning this week.
Wow--ten! There are only a few in our neighborhood which is mostly Oak, Blue Spruce, Catalpa, Weeping Willow. But many are quite old, which is lovely.
I'm lucky to live in a neighborhood with lots of old trees as well - mostly maples and pines here, though we do have a few younger oak trees.
