I haven't done a villanelle in years, but I remember trying so hard to come up with a good couplet, because the whole poem stands on it, right? Oh, you have me thinking about writing one of those now!
Yes…I love writing them, but coming up with a good couplet is tough! I posted one earlier this month and have two more scheduled. I think it’s my favorite form but it’s so hard to come up with a good basis!😂
